Following the discovery of a body earlier today, Gardaí have stood down the search for missing man, Brian  Coyne.

The 24 year-old went missing from his home in Co Kildare and was last seen at the Meath Bridge in Kilcock at 6.09pm last Sunday evening.

In a statement, Gardaí said that there is no further information at this time.
