A man in his 30s is to appear before Monahan District Court this morning in connection with the seizure of 300 cannabis plants in Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan.

The man in his 30s was arrested during a search of a house on Saturday morning.

Gardaí discovered the plants, which had an estimated street value of €250,000, pending further analysis.
