Over €340k in drugs and cash seized in north Dublin

Gardaí have seized €328,000 of cannabis herb, €12,400 in cash and arrested a man following a search operation in the Santry area this evening, 30th March.

As part of an ongoing investigation into the sale and supply of drugs in the area, Gardaí attached to the North Central Divisional Drug Unit carried out a search of a residence, under warrant, at approximately 5.30pm. 
 
During the course of the operation, Gardaí seized cannabis herb (pending analysis) with an estimated street value of approximately €328,000, cash with a value of €12,400, four mobile phones and other drug paraphernalia.

The drugs seized will now be sent for analysis.

A man in his 20s, arrested in connection with the seizure, is currently detained at Bridewell Garda station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
