Revenue Officers seize €24,500 cash at Dublin Airport

Revenue officers seized almost €24,500 at Dublin Airport when, as a result of routine profiling.

The cash was seized after officers stopped two passengers prior to boarding a flight to Amsterdam on Thursday.

The cash is suspected to be the proceeds of, or intended for use in, criminal activity and is detained by Revenue in accordance with proceeds of crime legislation.

The Dublin District Court has granted a three month cash detention order while investigations are ongoing.
