A man in due in court charged in connection with a hijacking incident in Limerick on Sunday.
It happened in the O'Malley Park area of the city at around 5pm.
A man who was sitting in his car agreed to give another man a lift, but was later threatened with what is believed to have been a knife.
The passenger demanded to be driven to Portlaoise.
The driver of the car jumped from the vehicle close to a petrol station in Portlaoise and received minor injuries.
Gardaí later arrested a man in his late 20s in Tallaght in Dublin.
He is due to appear before Kilmallock District Court on Tuesday evening.
