Man arrested in connection with murder of Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe

Gardaí have arrested a man in his 30s in connection with the murder of Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe.

The man was arrested the man in the Dundalk area shortly before 8.30am in relation to the capital murder of the detective.

He is currently being detained at Dundalk Garda Station.

Det Garda Donohoe was shot dead outside the Lordship Credit Union in January 2013.

Last October, Aaron Brady, of New Road, Crossmaglen in Co Armagh, was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of Det Garda Donohoe.

Brady was also sentenced to 14 years for armed robbery at the Lordship Credit Union.
