Woman arrested and €72,000 of cannabis seized in north Dublin

Gardaí have arrested a 37 year old woman during a search operation in the Kilmore area of north Dublin.

The joint intelligence led operation was conducted by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, the DMR North Divisional Drugs Unit, and the Revenue Customs Service.

During the course of this operation, suspected cannabis herb with an estimated value of €72,000 was seized by Customs officers.

The woamn was arrested at the scene and she was detained under Section 2 of The Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996, at Ballymun Garda Station.

She has since been released without charge and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
